So check me out, I have a shiny new award and I’m doing the Happy Dance all over the place!
In truth, I was nominated for The Sunshine Award twice but my newbie status (as well as my Catholic School Middle Girl Child upbringing which keeps me stuck in UnworthyVille ) kept me from claiming them as mine.
But no longer will I remain Award-less, so thank you so very much my sweetest Ali, http://alienorajt.wordpress.com/2013/08/18/the-versatile-alienora-um-blogger/ for nominating me, and also http://alienorajt.wordpress.com/2013/08/25/friends-roman-countrymen/ lovely Jumble, the most well-spoken Border Collie I’ve ever had the pleasure to read. 😉
Now, on to the rules of this award:

4. Post 7 interesting things about yourself.
So let me start with 7 interesting things about myself (which, “interesting” is the eye of the Reader, hopefully I won’t disappoint):
1.I am a lead singer in an original rock band, I write all my own songs (lyrics/melodies/harmonies/etc), I’ve played shows in small local clubs as well as festivals with audiences in the thousands, and everything inbetween. As far as I know, one of the bands I was in (I was just a background singer in this one so it wasn’t my fault) was one of the only bands I’ve ever heard of who was banned from CBGB’s after 1 gig.
2.After Hurricane Irene destroyed my Family home I made it my mission to get the house rebuilt and habitable so my Parents could live in the only house they’ve ever owned. It took almost 2 years to make it possible, but with the help of friends and neighbors, The Home Depot Foundation, and a benefit with some local Rock Stars (Dave Snake Sabo from Skid Row in particular)as well as help from Governor Christie who I spoke with on the phone, my Parents made it home. And while it broke my heart that my Mom passed away 5 months after moving home, at least I know she was able to get back into her home.
3.I am obsessed with anything Joss Whedon; Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse, Angel, Firefly, just to name a few.
4.I’m addicted to drinking cups of hot sweet milky tea, preferably Tetley’s British Blend. I carry teabags with me at all times and have been known to order tea in a restaurant with the bag on the side so I could use my own.
5.I’m an awesome cook, I can pretty much cook anything imaginable and I love to cook, but I don’t like to eat.
6.If I could live anywhere in the world, I would choose to live in Cape May New Jersey, the most magical place on the planet.
7.I can stick up for anyone in the world except myself. Got a problem? I can fix it. Need some advice? I’m your girl. Need somebody’s ass kicked? Me again. But when it comes to doing anything for myself? Nope.
Now to the nominating of others. As sweet Ali said, 15 is a rather randomly high number so I will do my best as I’ve noticed many bloggers I follow ask that they not be nominated for awards.
